Three potato four - What is a line?

This image is from http://threepotatofourshop.com/ and it is a tea towel design. I thought this was quite an interesting thing to look at in relation to my brief 'What is a line?' I like the simple, plain use of line and colour. I think this simplicity is what makes the detail of the imagery and quality of line so interesting.
