1982 update - Rubik's Cube

I thought the most interesting thing from my list of 10 was the fact that the Rubik's Cube World championship was held in June 1982. I decided to use the visual language and imagery associated with the Rubik's Cube to develop this preliminary idea of a 3D calendar mocked up in paper. I created small individual templates for cubes in illustrator and then made them up to create a whole 'Rubik's Cube' I then created another cube to hold all the other cubes in. I will place layouts of months on each side of the cube and i placed the 300 word synopsis of 1982 on the inside opening of the top part of the cube. For the '1982' font i used a star wars font as that was also released in June 1982. The body copy is Helvetica and i chose this as its very legible. I might change my font choices later on.
