Alexa Kitchen - What is a line?

A few weeks ago i found an article in a sunday newspaper about a girl called Alexa Kitchen. The article detailed how she has been drawing since she can remember and her parents organised all her drawings she has done since she was five and now she is ten. After reading the article i thought that this was worth looking at further so i checked out her website and i think that for somebody so young she has an amazing talent. She has a great sense of humour and has a strange amount of knowledge about the adult world. She uses sarcasm and humour along with childish and adult themes to explore illustration. Her style is quite minimal using black outline and occasional colour to emphasise her theme or idea and even though there is a childish element to her drawing i think this is still amazing for a girl so young to have such a grasp on adult humour and the skill and control to put her ideas accross.
