Crit Feedback

After having a crit today about my work i feel more confident about the direction my work can take. I want my book to be more than just a collection of leaves and i think that by incorporating something of interest that is not widely known that could be enough to draw people in to want to look at my book and keep them interested. At this moment in time i want my content to be my leaf illustrations with a snippet of folklore about that specific plant, or maybe an old traditional medicinal ailment that the plant used to be used for. From this, my format can now be adapted to be appropriate for my content. I want to create a format that represents a handmade organic book that feels as though it has been built up over years and as though the owner has acquired knowledge by practicing medicine such as a local medicine man or wise woman of old.
