What is a line? D&AD Pencil

After experimenting with pens and pncil images on illustrator and photoshop i remembered that the D&AD awarded people with pencils! Below is an image of them. I thought they were quite interesting in relation to my project as they look quite stylised and simple. This is something i think would look good to put into practice with my project.
